Or maybe too fast for Crowton? I'm not a JL fan by a long shot but I'd love to see if he would still be this bad with a quality QB coach from his freshman year instead of Crowton. I think our defense has shown obvious improvement from last year, especially the LB's and it's due to a good coach who has had less than 1 full season to work with them. Good coaching means a lot, especially at the SEC level.
JJ is a sopomore that got the benefit of starting two games last year and played in a couple more. JL is a redshirt sophomore so is in his 3rd year in the program and has quite a bit of playing time. Matt Barkley is a true freshman, so not a valid comparison.
