Ok, here's my turn to eat crow. I was wrong and I admit it. But I stand by what I said earlier about him addressing the team and telling them he was gone; even though it ended up being wrong. It was a done deal until mid-Saturday morning.
I never said he was leaving but I had remarked how happy I was at the prospect of Miles leaving. I would have bet the house that the Tigers would have lost the SEC Championship game so I'm willing to man up on that and say I was wrong. I never said LSU wouldn't make it to the championship game and I'm obviously glad we're in it. Let's give the team some time to heal and take it to Ohio State. We win the NC and I won't call Miles a mo-mo anymore. I promise that.....he wins the NC and I'll retire the mo-mo moniker. I'm come up with something else for him.
Don't shoot the messenger, but the quote from Skip says the deal was reached Friday night. I read several other articles Sunday that said basically the same thing.
