Jimbo was in NC to see Jonathon Crompton (per DD). It would be nice to snatch him from Tennessee, if Perrilloux decides to lose to OU 4 times.
terrible assumption to think RP will be in college for 4 years before heading to the nfl...even with greg davis as OC.
We definitely need to pick up a solid QB commit. I still want Perrilloux, but I would be more than happy to pick up Crompton.
RP Fans were saying the same thing about Russell until this season. Now some are wondering if he will ever earn the starting job at LSU.
I still don't understand the fuss about Russell...he's a freshman. Give the guy some time, he will make mistakes...the trick is to learn from those mistakes.
Decomm for sure... i dont know if we'll end up signing this guy, sure hope so, but i def. think he'll be going somewhere besides Tenn. they're 2 freshman QB's are playing way to well... especially Ainge. he looks to be the real deal, and the man throwing the ball there for the next 3-4 years. :geaux:
Crompton is a lock and gone but the QB to watch that LSU may have a shot at is Brandis Dew.....leaving that and Perrilleaux is our best chances. Everything else leads us to not signing a QB again unless we see a Brian Babin or John Hundley which LSU is watching closely, Hundley that is!
You hit the key word on its head, Learn from those mistakes....however learning is what you have to want to do.. I have a feeling that may be Russell's biggest downside, if the young man ever takes the book serious and learn the system at LSU he will be dangerous, until then he will be mediocre! All talk is that he doesn't have his focus on learning the system knowing he is already gifted. I sure hope he can pull it together and place all his time in the play book and focus on learning what the staff teaches him.
