Be quiet. It's not nice to talk with your mouth full.

Stew, chili, spare ribs, pork butt, beans, cake, etc. You can cook ANYTHING in a crock pot.

This is my favorite crock pot chicken and dumplings recipe:

    What You Need

    • 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, not cut up
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
    • 1 (10 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough - like Grand's, torn into pieces
    • 1 Can of Mixed Veggies ( drained) - you can also use a bag of frozen veggies
    • 1 tsp of Cumin
    • 1/2 tsp of pepper
    • Sprinkle of Cayenne Pepper
    • 1/2 tsp of Onion Powder
    • 1 cup of chicken stock
    • pinch of salt
    • Tabasco to taste

    What To Do

Place all ingredients in the crock pot except biscuits.

Cover and cook on low for 5 – 6 hours.

About 2 hours before serving tear up the biscuit dough ( into 1/4ths) and place in the crock pot.

The chicken will be so tender that it will pull apart when you scoop it out of the crock pot.

Cube then brown you some venison steaks. Put them in the crockpot with 2 cans of cream of mushroom and 1 can if water. Salt and pepper and a diced onion. Simmer in low till the meat is very tender. Serve over rice with homemade biscuits.

Put one chuck roast in the pot. Chop one red onion, mince one clove of garlic, and put them in a bowl. Pour 1/4 cup distilled white vinegar over that, and add some salt and pepper. Maybe a shot of bourbon if you feel like it. Mix that together, and pour it over the roast. Cook it on low heat for 10-12 hours. Then chop it up and make sandwiches. Pour the juice from the pot into a bowl and dip your sandwiches in it.

As the guys on Crazy Horse say on Neil Young's "The Losing End" --- "Now, this one's different."

2 big cans of cherry filling (or any of that kind of stuff)
1 box of cake mix (original calls for vanilla/yellow, but I got some choco mix and the cherries....with the "Queen of No" out of town til Sunday, we might just see)
    1 stick of butter, melted.

Dump the cans of cherry filling in the crockpot (I like it that the directions call for dumping rather than pouring)
Sprinkle the cake mix on top
"Drizzle" the melted butter over the cake mix..kinda hard for me to type "drizzle." Not a manly word. (the last time, before this recipe, I drizzled, it took a couple of shots to clear it up)

    Low, four hours. Boom

We have started mixing everything up with a wooden spoon before cooking. Pretty much tastes the same.

It's all good. Plus, it makes a shitload!
