like it really matters anyways. going by who has offered them is generally a good way to do it anyways.
Well, you have stated in the past that Les wasn't a very good coach at OSU. And you have also suggested that Les couldn't be much good because Bama did not hire him instead of Francionne or Price.
Six of one, half a dozen from another. I saw a thread this morning on Rivals talking about how Scout was owned by Auburn and UF grads...and, I've seen just as many threads on how Rivals is controlled by Terry. Bottom line, IMO, is this. Rivals spends more money on tapes and sending evaluators out. But, neither one is rated over the other in my opinion. I remember Forest rating his kid a 3* on Scout a few years ago...I remember Rivals having a kid rated a 4* that didn't even exist. There could be a change with Hightower's verbal this morning.
I have pointed to his record at OSU (as I have in this thread) as the reason I suspected his coaching acumen. I've also said that the third season is the one I judge coaches by as well. He finished no better than 3rd in the Big 12 and, like I've also pointed out in this thread, it's a conference people here have said is weak. Here we are getting close to the end of the 3rd year. He's maintained what he had in the first year as far as W's and L's are concerned. In all honesty red, if he decides to leave for Michigan this year, after only spending 4 years at OSU and it would be three at LSU, will he be treated the same way as the fan base has treated Saban? If a few 4th down conversions would have gone the other way I firmly believe a lot of people would be on the other side of the fence with LM. I've been wrong about coaches as much as I've been right. Right now, Miles is proving his worth.
Yeah, I see it now, but if you click on the following link... http://www.scout.com/ you'll see it hasn't been updated on their home page.
Wow, this is my first visit since early this morning. The poster on the al.com site is obviously not drinking the Saban Kool Aid. As we know, Saban is a good coach but not the 2nd coming of Bear Bryant as most Bama fans believe he is. At some point reality will set in. I'm guessing next year with year 3 the make or break year. Being the coach of Alabama is very different then coaching Michigan State and LSU early this decade. One thing I find Enronish is comparing Rivals.com recruiting rankings to Scout.com. Many schools stay the same but there is huge difference in Bama's rankings. I wonder what Bama behind the scenes shenanigans are in the works to juice up the Rival ranking. When 4mill a year is on the line Bama friends help out any way they can.
