Murders Fell 10 Percent in First Half of 2009, FBI Says - Local News | News Articles | National News | US News - FOXNews.com "Murder and manslaughter dropped a surprising 10 percent for the first half of the year, according to the FBI's data. "That's a remarkable decline, given the economic conditions," Overall, violent crimes fell by 4.4 percent and property crimes dropped by 6.1 percent, according to the data collected by the FBI. Crime rates haven't been this low since the 1960's, and are nowhere near the peak reached in the early 1990's. The early 2009 data suggests the crime-dropping trend of 2008 is not just continuing but accelerating." i think most people have a hard time believing it, but i believe #s before news.
well, the article quotes some "expert" that has two guesses. one is that more people are home because of increase unemployment, but i dont see how this would be different from other recessions (crime went up in the 70s and 90s recessions). the other guess is the government assistance. i have two others. probably much more law enforcement around. and all the would-be criminals are still in the afterglow of obama's inauguration.
Its probably all the law enforcement officers Clinton hired and put on the street. Or Maybe its Obama's personal military watching you!
