Never seen a team come within 1 pitch of winning the world series TWICE and not clinch it. In a series of questionable happenings last night, the one that sticks out the most is Cruz misjudging that scorched fly ball in the 9th with 2 out. If he keeps running at full speed he has a shot at a great catch. He slows down, misplaying the ball and it sails over his head against the wall. Can the Rangers win game 7?
Doubt it. Not after that. That ball sailed to the right of his glove. Glove was at the right height, just not far enough over. About as bad of a mis-play as you could make. Not really having a dog in the hunt, it was entertaining to watch those last 2 innings, which, coincidentally, is when I tuned in.
