Hasn't Oregon had their coach slots filled for a couple weeks now? I looked a couple weeks ago and they had the max number posted on their webpage.
So this geezer that sits next to me at work was right about most of what he was saying. That's unreal.
He has been on the trail for 6 weeks at least...then one ofthe coaches got fired for a DUI and opened up some life. Now that NSD we are going to start to see the usual assistant changes around the nation.
Do you hear anything about the WR coach at Arkansas? I heard he would have been hired instead of Craig but there was some personal animosity toward him by Miles over him stealing a recruit from New Orleans who was committed to LSU
Reassigned to a non coaching position at $275K a year. I don't know what his duties will be but great pay for whatever it is.
http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orle...al&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=user-share Payton goes back with Curtis Johnson to their San Diego State/Marshall Faulk days. Sean also recommended CJ heavily to the Tulane brain trust that got him the head job there. Had Morton not been so prolific in developing the Saints receivers, Curtis would have been re-hired by the Saints and Payton. Instead he went to the Bears. I fully expect him to return to the Saints. His only link to Coach O was in 2008 when Orgeron was the DL coach with the Saints and CJ was still the receivers coach.
