10-0 on national TV in prime time went wrong. I addressed this in another thread; the Tigers can't get embarrassed by Bama on the field and then expect to compete with them in recruiting. I think hiring Canada is a huge step in the right direction, but potential recruits are going to want to see the proof on the field before they put their names on the dotted line.
Could be Canada saw a weakness with those two and asked for a change. We will know when we see who takes their place. I know they are both good coaches but maybe they were not on the same page with CMC. O did say he was going to back his coordinators and let them coach this time.
Both coaches have known about this for over a month. Neither where getting it done of the coaching side of things and Craig has attitude but not always in a good way. Juluke just wasn't ready for this kind of gig and he knew it. Craig has been pursuing Oregon job and others.
Curtis Johnson has been lined up to take over for over a month and then he got let go by the Bears and the Saints came calling. 247 is reporting speculation that because Curtis was let go before Feb 1st his pension was in jeopardy and it is possible the Saints are hiring him temporily to help him out to reach Feb 1st. Not sure if that is true or not.
