    By season's end:

    #5 all time in doubles
#12 all time in runs scored
    #20 all time in hits

Also has decent shot at getting to 300 home runs, the only 2B to get to that mark other than Jeff Kent.

    pretty incredible stuff

First ballot hall of famer. No doubt about it. One of the greats of our time (regular season.)

AND he has the singular accomplishment of being a starter at least a season too long in order to break a non-record. Not too many guys can say that. Of course, if Burke stays in the tank, Bigg might be the better offensive option, which is horrible.

I can't believe I saw this name here!!! When I was little my parents used to take me to one Astros game every year and I had the BIGGEST crush on Craig Biggo!!! I could care less what else ever happened during the game as long as "my man" did good!!!!!!!!!

    Congrats to him!!!

If you lived in another city and Houston was in town, would you say, "We've got to go to the game to see Craig Biggio play."

    I sure wouldn't have...

Took a look at his stats just for fun. He has been borderline irrelevant since 2000. Well, maybe not irrelevant, but performed right at the league average.

He is pretty good for a middle infielder. First ballot hall of famer? It would have to be a weak year. He'll get in though.

that's the beauty of it all....he did it without all the limelight....as he would prefer it.....a true ambassador of the game

no lounge chair in the lockerroom, no roids needle hanging from his glute muscle, etc

Tell me which season since 2000 that you would love to have him batting near the top of your lineup. *edit* Other than 2001, he had a good year there.

He had some phenomenal seasons in the 90s.
