I don't know how the TV ended up on cspan the other night but I caught most of the speech that Glen Beck did for the close. Freaking amazing. I would suggest it to anyone. I know most think he is missing a few screws and most days he certianly seems that way. This speech was awesome and it was not the obama bashing that most of you might think. I won't post the link, it is on you tube and not hard to find.

I figured you'd be quite happy with what Glenn Beck had to say.

Exactly, exactly what I expected. Someone to spout off with something stupid and prove that they didn't listen to a word of it and just assume it was more of the usual. GB was more critical of the republicans and all but called dubya a moron during the keynote address. The only shot he took at obama was the peace prize thing which I thought was classic. Rex, perhaps you should give it another try lad. You totally missed the message.

GB is nothing more than rhetoric. In the very beginnnig he said that the Repubs have a problem and they need to say it. His next line was that he voted for the Repubs his whole life. It's not only the politicians that have the problem, it's the damn voters as well.

He also made reference to letting the banks fail and how the bailout was dumb. Which I agree. But he wasn't singing that tune back in 08 when he said:

"The real story is the $700 billion that you`re hearing about now is not only, I believe, necessary, it is also not nearly enough, and all of the weasels in Washington know it." -Glenn Beck

Then he goes on to claim how much he loves DC and how he himself has been predicting this economic failure for the past 4 years. Bullchit!

GB is nothing more than an Obama of the Republican party. He can speak well and energize people. Talk vs. Action.

The best part of the speech was the Statue of Liberty bit.

Give me someone with actual convictions and integrity. You know where my vote is going.
