Becaus Paul has made it clear that he does not want to play in New Orleans, so it is time to start building the team for a future why out Crybaby Paul.

New Orleans gets royally screwed on this deal.

They get Lamar Odom and he brings along another worthless Kardashian.

It's on hold cp3 will not report Friday to the hornets and fight it. IMO the lakers fail unless they get Howard for Bynum.

Small market fans were freaking out because they thought the Lakers were going to land Chris Paul and Howard, but that was never really realistic.

The Lakers had three trading chips- Gasol, Bynum, and Odom.

To get Paul, the Lakers had to trade two of those chips.

And, to get Howard, they'd have to trade two of those chips.

Once the Lakers traded for Paul or Howard, they weren't going to have enough trading chips left to get the other player.

The irony for all the small markets who were so furious about the Lakers getting better if Paul had been traded is that the Lakers might get better if this means that the Lakers trade for Howard instead of Paul than if the deal had gone through.

And, that the small market fans who said that Stern stood up for small market teams even the NBA backstabbed another small market team, the Hornets. The Lakers gave up a lot, and the Hornets got a lot of good pieces.

I wish that Lakers trade woulda went through. We would have gotten Goran Dragic (starting PG), Kevin Martin (starting SG), Scola (startin PF), and Lamar Odom (solid big off the bench). Add Okafor and Ariza with that and we have a pretty solid lineup. If we are gonna give up CP3, at least gotta make sure we are set for the future.
