Guys like CP3 are the exact reason the NBA sucks now. What happened to guys like Magic and Jordan and Bird? Those dudes didn't need to be put on teams made up of superstars to win. They won because they elevated everyone around them. They won because they had the determination to do so.

Chris Paul is a sandy vagina who will probably always be the best player on whatever team he is on, but he will never be a leader. He will never be a winner. I can't wait til he is gone and we don't have to constantly hear about how badly he wants to play for a winner.

I hope he ends up with the Timberwolves.

Magic & Bird were both surrounded by plenty of superstars. Comparing their situations with organizations being run at the highest level to the Hornets isn't fair to CP3. Jordan had Pippen and also received support from the Bulls to win at the highest level.

My opinion of CP3 is that he's a great guy that has given back to the community and always played his heart out. If he wants to work/live in NYC and play with some of his best friends to compete against the hated Heat versus wallowing in mediocrity for the Hornets, I can't really blame him.

Hopefully he stays in Nola as long as possible because I fear for the Hornets franchise when he leaves.

Hornets have had years to try and put someone with him, and all they've managed is David West? Who is nothing without him?

I think it's crazy to try and get traded to the Knicks though, you would gut their roster even more, if you seriously want to go to the Knicks, just play out this season and then sign with them.

I agree....it's not even a full season. Just play it out and go.

The NBA has a few top teams...then everybody else.

I'm personally not wasting my money to watch the minor leagues and then sit home watching the few battle for a title during the playoffs.

    Unless there's more competitive balance...

Now they're talking about CP3 to Los Angeles. If that happens I hope the Hornets relocate and then hope the NBA folds.

Why waste money when the NBA allows for a few select teams and then everybody else?

This is definitely true. The fact that these guys can hold a franchise hostage is embarrassing to the league. But really, I don't care at all. I can't remember the last time I watched a non playoff NBA game.

Quick synopsis of what I've read today regarding a CP3 trade:

Knicks won't be part of the trade derby, they'll wait out the season and try to get him in free agency.

Warriors won't give up Curry, but Monta Ellis is a possibility.

Celtics dangling Rondo and Big Baby for Paul, but he's still not interested in Boston.

Oklahoma City considering offering Russell Westbrook and others.

The Clippers could offer DeAndre Jordan, Al-Farouq Aminu, Eric Bledsoe and the 2012 first-round pick they acquired from the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Paul has supposedly put it out there that the Warriors or Clippers could increase the chance of him signing after a trade if they would also sign Tyson Chandler.

If the last one is true, why don't the Hornets sign him and dump Okafor? That trade was a mistake from the start.
