he sure has done a good job of turning a hopeless team into a superbowl contender... Romo helps too, obviously, but Romo wouldn't look so great if he didn't have an open WR every play between Witten, TO, Glenn, Crayton, and Marion Barber
Well lets get facts straight. Romo has saved the season. Not T.O. T.O. had a huge hand in why the Cowboys were 3-3 at one point. His off the field antics plus he just plain sucked with costly dropped passes. So let's give credit where credit is due. T.O. only gets a small chunk of that (maybe 5 percent, maybe).
you don't watch the cowboys much, do you? T.O. had drops in only 1 game during Bledsoe's reign; the one where he broke his hand against Washington. the 3-3 start had 100% to do with Bledsoe. Just look at his numbers compared to T.O. Hell, against Jacksonville, he threw an INT at the 50 with Dallas going in to tie it He blew the Philly game, with Dallas in the red zone going into to tie it. He blew the Giants game throwing the INT in the red zone going in to tie it before half (before he got benched). Every loss this year, except Washington is Bledsoe's doing. Washington is T.O and Vanderjact, though... Now, as for as the turnaround, as I said earlier, how good would Romo be without an open receiver every play? I mean, the same can be said for T.O., b/c if his QB didn't throw him good balls, he wouldn't be good, but this is strictly a 50/50 proposition, if not a 33-33-33 proposition, because Dallas's defense is also playing much better now, too.
T.O.'s drops have been well documented this season. He is near the top of the list in drops. Hell, he dropped one yesterday and made no effort on another one that was catchable at his feet. And yes I have been watching the games. I get them here in Austin all the time. And I have the Cowboys QB on both of my fantasy teams. So it matters to me. He also dropped that 70 yard TD in the Arizona game. Bastard. He is not the stud receiver he once was. He's good, but no longer great.
Where do you find stats for drops? The one at his feet was actually not catchable. He was in a dead-sprint down the field, and the ball was at his feet, on the inside. No way is that ball catchable for a big receiver (Smith, Randle El, MAYBE make that catch.) The drop in the endzone was terrible though.
ESPN did a segment on it a couple of weeks back. I don't think there is any published stat, but obviously ESPN has access to it. He is one of the worst in terms of drops this season. And he has continued to drop passes since they aired the segment.
and we all know how fair ESPN is... Let me guess, in the segment, they said Donovan McNabb was the best QB in the history of the game, and that the Panthers were the best team in the NFC?
