florida will not look better at any point this season. they were seeking revenge, pissing vinegar and rjf fanned the flames.

happens when you're the returning NC and stoke the fire. things will not look this bad again all season. it happens.

I wrote a little speech to help get us through these times:

“I just want to say one thing to the fans, and everybody in Tiger Nation. You know what…”

    (sniff trying to compose myself.)

“I’m sorry. Extremely sorry. We were hoping for an undefeated season. That was my goal. It’s something LSU's never done here. But I promise you one thing: A lot of good will come out of this. You’ve never seen any fan in the entire country who will root as hard as I will the rest of the season. And you’ll never see someone push the rest of the fanbase as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season. And you’ll never hear a fan scream
louder than I will the rest of the season."

    "God bless.”

    (sobbing uncontrollably)

then maybe you can remember saban losing this bad. (i'm not reading all the pages here so i apologize if this is a repeat)

saban lost 31-0 to bama, saban lost 41-9 and 44-15 to florida, saban lost by 15 in a bowl to texas. he lost 26-8 to VT, he lost 31-7 and 34-17 to auburn, he lost by 11 to ole freakin miss and of course he lost 45-16 to UGA. we also lost to UAB by 3.

maybe your memory is selective but the above scores is what nick saban did with nick saban's players.

My take is this: When Florida can lose at home to Ole Miss and then come back and beat LSU at the same place by 30 points the following weekend, I would say that mental preparation had a "little" bit to do with college coaching. We have as an athletic team as anyone in the country. If our kids make mistakes (not tackling with arms, positioning on a receiver) coupled with a sub-par gameplan and poor communication, I would definitely pin it on the coaches. There have been arguing on the sidelines between defensive players, there have been timeouts taken by the defense because of miscommunication, and obviously no halftime coaching resolved the Gator onslaught. It is obvious all eyes are on this "co-coordinator" system and their "scheme". The two glaring issues to me was not playing dime in the second half and sending 5 or 6 after Tebow and the fact the our defensive ends did not attack the option and make Tebow get rid of the ball sooner. You can't "feather" that option, you have to attack it.

Now the good news. We won't have to face another spread option team until the SEC championship (hopefully). I believe that our defense can compete against a traditional offense (USC, UGA, UA) on raw talent even if we are confused.

    Refocus and Go Tigers!!!!

Also, this game was much more competitive than those were. We were within striking range if our defense could make just a single stop in the second half.

What's more pathetic; Watching your team lose by 30 to a top tier team OR watch your starting QB and your coach cry everytime they lose a ball game?
