Forget it. Too many things have to happen for LSU to play for the NC this year. We had the chance and let it slip between our fingers.
Based on the information from the computers..... there is a chance. Plus, I would aslo venture a guess that if Mizzou loses and LSU wins, we will get a ton of #2 votes. No one wants to see tOSU in the title game. Take the emotion away from it and look at the numbers. It's a stretch, yes, but not out of the realm of possibility. :geaux:
10 percent of voters have them #1. Most voters have Ohio State sitting at #3. Some have them at #4 or #5. So what happens to the majority of voters who have Ohio State sitting at #3 and idle, knowing that Ohio State's schedule is laughable and that they do not have a single impressive win this year (Wisconsin, yuk)? Do the right thing and leave them at #3!!!!
Let's hope so. I think most voters would also give LSU the nod over Va Tech since we beat them earlier, by 41 pts. :geaux:
I've said this before that when Miles went public with his "we're really undefeated speech" that I intially thought he was whining. But now I'm more convinced that not only was he sending a message to the voters, but he was also sending a message to the team that their dreams of a :crystal: are not necessarily dead. Interestingly to me, the path outlined here is the likely outcome this weekend. Mizzou gets beat, WVU wins, and VaTech beats BC. With all the distractions of potential coaching changes and the emotional letdown from the Arky defeat, I really thought that they would have problems focusing on TN. Now, I'm convinced that they'll be as focussed as Crunch on a strafing run over downtown Baghdad. :geaux:
