Could Ware be moving to WR?

He's got good hands, but Blue makes much more sense at WR. Ware isn't fast enough. He'd be a hell of a blocker out there though.

Spencer Ware is too damn big for his height and he isn't fast enough to be WR.

I read about this a few weeks ago and my first thought was Blue. We're definitely not going to have a lot of height at the position this year.

When great athletes change positions like that...it probably increases the chances that they'll stay for four years before going pro.

Yeah, find a picture of a "less than tall" WR jumping and take what I say out of context. :rolleye33:

A player's height and his vertical jump are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS brah.

Football - Rosters - LSUsports.net - The Official Web Site of LSU Tigers Athletics

According to LSUsports.net, the season's roster has 15 WR's listed (how many of those guys are ACTUALLY going to play?), only one player taller than 6'2", being Armand Williams at 6'3".

As I said, a lack of height.
Jarrett Fobbs WR 5-11 195 So. SQ Shreveport, La. (Huntington HS) Kavahra Holmes WR 6-1 180 Fr. HS Breaux Bridge, La. (Breaux Bridge HS) 21 Paul Turner WR 5-11 186 Fr. RS West Monroe, La. (West Monroe HS) 13 Chris LaBorde WR 6-1 185 Fr. RS Lafayette, La. (Westminster Christian Academy) 81 Armand Williams WR 6-3 200 So. SQ Slidell, La. (Slidell HS) 82 James Wright WR 6-2 201 Jr. 2L Belle Chasse, La. (Belle Chasse HS) Travin Dural WR 6-2 170 Fr. HS Breaux Bridge, La. (Breaux Bridge HS) 86 Kadron Boone WR 6-0 195 Jr. 2L Ocala, Fla. Ware to WR would come as a big surprise. Like some of you have already stated, I think Blue would be the most logical choice given that he is 6'2" and is built more like the stereotypical WR. I also think Blue would be good because he is a physical player and I believe he would be a great blocker on the outside.

I agree that Blue, physically, is most like a WR, but skill set wise it appears to be Ware - he runs the best routes and has the best hands.

He's too big/slow to be a great WR right now, but if he were to change positions he could slim down and improve his speed.

We've had success recently with bigger receivers:

    Michael Clayton...... 6-4
    D-Bowe................ 6-2
    Brandon LaFell........6-3
    Rueben Randle........6-4
    Terrance Tolliver.....6-5

It's not a death sentence to not have tall WRs, but it does provide an advantage.

Then it is likely that the WRs currently on the roster are even shorter that we think. It's a relative comparison, IMO.

I've heard good things about Armand Williams too, and I think he will need to be an important weapon for us.
