I definitely agree with this statement. Sure, it hasn't been pretty, but as long as we're winning these easily winnable games, I'd prefer to not allow the likes of Florida, Georgia, etc. to have game film of what our offense is really like - same with the defense. At some point I think the coaches need to slowly integrate the full spectrum of plays into a game scenario, but definitely not all at once.

Listen arizonafan, which the name throws me but whatever, all the members on this forum are just as passionate as anyone. They will defend their Tigers to no end, me included. I picked the name arizonafan because I tried something like aztiger and it was taken and I wanted to post that article before it disappeared or something. I'm not trying to rant on the Tigers. I want them to win every damn game but I have to be really honest, I have my misgivings about Miles. Most on the board think he is great and is just playing possum with the playbook and use of talent. I hope the hell you guys are right but I'm the skeptical type. I don't believe in Obama's health care plan either but in either case I have no control so we shall just have to wait & see on all fronts.
Miles leaves me scratching my head alot also. There are times where i am left befuddled. Its ok to be critical if you do it right, i don't think anyone will give you a hard time, but i really don't think we the fans can totally judge what Les Miles is doing behind the scenes, or what is in his melon. He is obviously a very complicated and secretive guy, so give it some time. I have a feeling that by the time we make the trip to Athens everyone will be satisfied. I could be wrong, but, i have a good feeling about this one, yes there are some things i would change but to think that any of us know more about football than a guy who played at Michigan, coached at Michigan, Oklahoma State, the Dallas Cowboys, etc etc then you are absolutely crazy. He has a plan, and i think i have kind of figured out what is going on, and if i am right, i like it. This is the time LSU fans should be rallying around their head coach, we are 2-0 with no interceptions, and 8 penalties in 2 games, things are good right now.
What about no USC defenders lined up on slot receivers but TP not being given the go ahead to take a quick snap. Or OSU putting a RB out wide and six yards off the LO. What else was he going to do? OSU should've won that game, they had it. I was extremely pissed. Thought the article was pretty telling. We were 2-0 at this time last year too and were pretty dam excited about it. At least I know I was.
We don't hate you. Stay awhile. We'll try to play nice, but no guarantees. I bet I've been slammed on this site more than anyone. Sometimes I get pissed off and threaten people, sometimes I laugh. One important point to remember is Miles just came off a Nat'l Championship, so we gotta love him for it. We were all dissappointed with last years result, but we also know Miles isn't Charlie Weiss. He's proven he can win, so we're waiting on the next one. An as was said before, we're 2 and 0. And we got 2 more tune up games. It's just too early to whine.
I remember blowing opponents out of the water in 07 with a fancy playbook early on. Then something happened. What was it? Oh yeah, we didn't blow teams out anymore. I feel like Miles learned a lesson about game film.
Our only problem is we have a young team on both sides the ball. The way CLM plays in bowl games I would never accuse him of be Tressel or Big Ten like. It will all come around when they start clicking. It's a wonder we have done as well as we have over past three seasons. We have started a new QB for the past three years and we haven't had a SR start with more than one year under his belt since CLM has been here. None of the other top teams have done this and those others that have haven't done so well.
After an 80% winning record, National Championship, & SEC Championship.. I'm not sure what other proof you need. It's not like it's still his first or second season and the honeymoon is in full swing.
