I found the problem with your logic. I'm gonna get as loud as i can without getting arrested: WE AREN'T FUGGIN USC, FLORIDA, TEXAS, ETC.... :milesmic: Have a great day
I don't expect them to peak by game 2. I was simply saying that I am disappointed in the way they have played against 2 teams who have FAR less talent with the exception of Locker. He is the real deal and I expect him to give USC some problems next game. But the things that LSU is doing wrong seems to me are related to coaching or lack there of. THAT bothers me. We ALL agonized over the 2 headed DC last season and JL's huge problems reading defenses. I see other teams around the country with soph QB's and new OC & DC and don't seem to me that they have these LONG breaking in periods. Remember Washington, with a far smaller talent pool, had a new OC and DC and seemed to do just fine. With us we had people out of position and not even tackling properly. Arm tackles don't work at any level, even high school. I see a team with at least 3 WR's who will be playing on Sunday who wouldn't try to beat Washington to death downfield to open up the Chuck runs. To me this is NOT smart football. To me LSU should be able to compete with anyone in the country with the POSSIBLE exception of Florida and the Christian this year. Christ last year recruiting class included the No. 1 safety, all purpose QB, and WR in the entire damn country. Playing down to the competition is an excuse for poor play. What if in those 2 close games in the 4th quarter JJ would have hit TT right in the hands and it bounced out and was pick 6ed? Then what? Neither of those teams should have been in the same zip code with LSU in the 4th quarter and that does NOT mean running up the score for the sports writers. We seem to be easily able to do this in bowl games but in the grind of the regular SEC season, nope? I'm an SEC fan all the way and root for ALL of them in bowl games. I have to be honest I wasn't ALL that disappointed when UCLA took it to Kiffen(I hate him!). LOL
Now we can be sure he's not a real LSU fan.
USC should have lost Saturday night (and don't say it, because I think both Vandy and Washington could give the Buckeyes all they can handle); Texas hasn't lit the world on fire; Do we have a senior Heisman winner at QB that I don't know about? The quote was "Have a GREAT day".
If you think you can criticize LSU in this forum and not get crap from anyone, you are delusional and should go quietly away and not come back.
