Going into his Sr. season, with the WR and RB personnel he'll have and given his running and passing ability.

I know it's really too far off to be speculating but he seems to have an unreal presence on the field and I saw a lot of potential in such a big game- even though it didn't translate into a lot of points. 20-30 and over 250 yards passing. We know he can run.

Maybe I'm being stupid but I really have a feeling he could be in the running.

Certainly could and should be, but as you know, it all depends on next year. He is in good position though with a bit of recognition this year, starter next year, and on the list senior year. Of course Jamarcus was in the same position and never really cracked anybody's list.

Well, believe it or not, that was one reason I wanted to at least put the idea out there cause if we don't talk about it, no one else will either. Many of our fans didn't feel JR should've even been our starter and it was well known with the media.

I was thinking the other day, what if JR had decided to stay one more year? Nothing against Flynn and I know the choice for JR, the way the cards were falling into place, was a no-brainer but still, just think.

    Three things:

    1. Our road schedule is brutal and will be tough to post good numbers, and wins.

    2. With the road schedule, if he were to do great it could leap him to the top.

With personal discipline and a great offensive line he is gonna be one sweet sight to behold. The kid can just flat throw. His ball control is definitely stellar and with multiple targets currently picking up there game...good googie moogie we got a game. Looking forward to seeing just how good he grows through the season. I think he grew up alot this last weekend and expect discipline to prevail both on and off. I say he qualifies to watch for the brass!

The doors open & I will not enter.

At first I did think I was a year older when I read "Going into his Senior season."

If he devotes himself in the off season next year and stays out of trouble he's set himself very well for outstanding 08 & 09 seasons (assuming he stays in 09).

Oh, I was even holding the door in case anyone went there- I was soliciting honest responses and expected differing opinions. :thumb:
