We were driving back to Oklahoma and my wife told me about this thread. First words out of my mouth were "fang started it didn't he"? She told me no and I was disappointed until I found this gem. No fang, not even the scab 87 falcons.
If a game like this were ever to be played, and the NFL team played its hardest, half of the college team's players would end up in the hospital.
And our UGA buddy Mayretta referenced this thread on the UGA Scout board; however, he didn't provide a link. He called it something like, "This is how delusional LSU fans are..." and proceeded to tell his Bulldawg buddies that we were naming the NFL teams LSU could beat. I was going to post a link, but apparently I have to "apply" for posting privileges over there (even though I have a Scout login)--so no thanks.
How about if the BCS Champion would play the NFL SB winner from 10 yrs prior as an exhibition game for the real SB? Most of the NFL guys would be retired but there may be a few current players (like a Tom Brady) and you would think they'd still know their system/playbook well enough to be competitive if given a month to prepare. I'd watch out of curiosity. The NFL team would probably enjoy the reunion and playing one last game.
There is a world of diffrence between an 19 year old kid and a 26 year old man. Yes the 19 year old is a legal adult. That doesn't mean chit. He is still making the transition from being a high school kid to a grown man. The 25-30 year old men will be more than the kids can handle. They may play ok for the first qtr but they would quickly be overwhelmed and beat into submission. It would be like the best highschool team from la playing even ul Monroe. Ul Monroe is a minor college team and they would destroy west Monroe highschool. Just the maturity level and physical developement of the 20 year olds would trumph the 17 year old kids. Same with NFL men and college kids.
