I know the tweeter @sportsguychat. It would be funny if somebody called him pretending to be from LSU and told him his tweet was going to get us on probation.
It isn't a violation of NCAA rules, so to speak. Although, you do have situations where boosters (IE: ticket holders) who are tweeting kids. Now, ask yourself this question. Do you want your booster using social media to recruit kids? I wish everyone would simply follow one rule: Don't tweet at recruits. Hell, recently, I basically "disassociated" myself with someone I've known for over a decade because I caught him tweeting at a recruit. BTW, did you catch Skip Bayless tweeting at a kid who committed to a school other than his alma mater, Vandy? He was using his platform to basically tell the kid he made a bad choice. Simple. Don't tweet at recruits. What's so hard about that?
