That wont happen. The media and some of you bums look at this guy as the best thing since Sliced Bread.... He can walk on water according to some of the media. I know the kid is a good kid, but dont idolize anyone, thats my problem with this. He shouldnt have won this year at all. McFadden should have won. Tebow as a quarterback didnt beat the big teams, he didnt win the big games. He padded his stats vs Fl St., FAU, and other cupcakes. They choose this year to amend the unspoken rule of no sophomores. with that said, he could be on youtube, with meyer giving him a bag of money and keys to a ferrari and they wouldnt face NCAA sanctions.
I guess Timbo is gonna have to half azz it next year so that he doesn't subject himself into the same liability catagory!
I hate the NCAA...They like to make loads of money from student athletes and yet don't even have the guts to establish a football championship game.
Not sure what your angle is because no one other than you has alleged any wrong doing by Tebow or UF. They (UF and co) mostly have to prove they acted to /requested it stop and show no proof of profitting off it. Believe it when I say we (LSU) could easily be skirting this issue with counterfeit Dorsey merchandise. I also agree that McFadden was more worthy, due mostly to his entire body of work (regardless of class) but I respect the H-committees decision. The best part about this debate was 1rst and 2nd were both non-championship SEC schools. In other words it was all SEC (baby) and they did not just default to the QB of the team going to the MNC. That's a good thing.
Those of you who say McFadden deserved it more need to look at this without the "anti-Tebow" glasses on. Tebow had more passing yards and touchdowns, obviously, Tebow had a better w/l record. Tebow had more RUSHING touchdowns All McFadden had was more rushing yards. As far as all the junk about not winning against the big teams or whatever. they beat Tennessee, the East Champion 59-20. And they also beat Kentucky, who was No. 8 at the time 45-37. If you look at Florida's games, their offense scored over 40 points in 8 of their 12 games, scoring over 50 in 4 of their 12 games. They only lost anything this year because of a sub-par defense.
True, but that's just this year. Sorry, no bias glasses for opposing teams. I just have an idea that the Heisman's "relevancy" transcends more than just one season. McFadden has a better total body of work. I think when people make the argument that only juniors and seniors win, this is the meat of their reasoning whether they are aware of it or not.
Under the NCAA rule requiring white quarterbacks to stay and play 4 years, does this mean Timbo will win 2 more ?
