It was hard to pull for Petrino, but I wanted LSU to finish with having beaten the #3 (Alabama), #4 (Oregon) and #5 (Arkansas) teams (final poll results).
I'm hoping for and predicting to embarrass the Gumps to the tune of say 34-10 and a final poll that looks like this: LSU Okla. State Oregon Arkansas Boise State Alabama
I was fortunate enough to score some nice tix to the cotton bowl. My friend (a K-State fan) and I took our sons to the game. A few random observations: 1) Fans of BOTH teams were very gracious. There was plenty of passion, but there was little animosity. 2) We sat on the Arky side with my friend wearing KSU gear and me wearing LSU gear. Got some gentle ribbing, but it was all in good fun. 3) The t-shirt I was wearing was "Imagine - A World Without Alabama" from Tiger District. I lost track of the number of Arky fans that made positive comments. 4) Cowboy's Stadium is a wonder to behold. If you haven't been, find an occasion to make the trip.
