Who would you want to play and comments about each opponent.
(Which team would you least want to play?)

    LSU vs Oklahoma/Texas/Texas Tech/maybe Mizzou

With our secondary, any of these teams would be VERY TOUGH.:geaux:

Any of those teams would be tough, but I wouldn't count out a Les Miles team that has over a month to prepare for a game. Missouri and OU probably have the most "suspect" defenses, however, out of that group of four teams.

Selfishly, I would like for us to be in the Cotton Bowl because it would be easy for me to go--and even to take my seven-year-old, who's been begging all year to go to an LSU game. She still hasn't forgiven me for not taking her to the UGA game.

Probably want to play TT the least. I think their offense could light up our secondary. I'd like to play OU because I've thought all season that they are over rated.

I love the fact that the Cotton Bowl is in the afternoon on the 2nd now. Makes it a much better game to go to. Can still have fun new years eve, sleep in and watch all the new years bowls on TV, and then get out early to tailgate the next day.

The Outback is supposed to have the #4 SEC pick and they keep passing LSU over. They will probably take South Carolina!

I'd rather play a big-10 opponent in sunny Florida rather than Oklahoma or Texas Tech in January in cold Dallas in that dump of a stadium.

It was 70 degrees by the end of the last Cotton Bowl we played in '03 (I wore a sweatshirt without a jacket for the early morning and was almost too warm by the end of the game), and the dump of a stadium has recently undergone a multi-million dollar renovation. The Dallas PD, however, still don't worry themselves about crooks taking money, saying they are operating a parking area, then allowing towing companies to take away all of the cars during a game.

It happened again UT/OU weekend this year.

Man, I can't see the LSU D doing very well against those pass happy teams. I guess Missouri would be the safest bet, but I haven't seen them play much.

only one of those teams (OSU, TT, UT, OU) has played a defense ranked in the top 25 and i think that defense was OU at the time texas played them. Plus those wonderful offenses have not played a SEC caliber defense, we are improving on defense, and i would love to see any one of those match ups. We owe Texas for the 02 season, i can still see Chris Simms running up that sideline taunting our bench and the drunk LSU fans sitting behind me in the cotton bowl going nuts. I used to live in the mid cities area and there is alot to do in dallas, and its a great place to celebrate new years. Fort Worth has gotten a hell of alot cooler as well.

With all of the renovations done at the Cotton Bowl, It can no longer be called a dump. I would prefer as many Big 12 VS. SEC match-ups as can be scheduled for the Bowl season. Since the Big 12 thinks they are the dominant conference this season, I will take satisfaction in cracking them in the mouth!!!
