I've watched every snap, of every game, and I can't recall one play that was a designed running back screen. Does GC have a running back screen in his playbook? I can remember a few quick WR screen attempts, and I know we've hit Ware on a few wheel routes, but I really cant recall one designed RB screen.. I think that our backs would be unstoppable in the open field with a few blockers in front. Am I making this up?? Help me out fellas.. :geaux: Not complaining: 10-1 and #5 in the country aint bad  Just a weird reality that I cant recall one RB screen play.
No worries my man.. I'm completely satisfied with winning.. That thought came to my head out of the blue as I was watching the Eagles/Giants game last night. Of course the Eagles are an infamous screen team. And thats when it hit me.. No gripes, just weird.... P.S. So, as you see, its Sunday Night, and my brain is still on those :tigereye:'s :wave: And this is never a good week, as my wife's best friend is an Arkansas grad and a very good fried of the family.. But you know the deal... "Tiger Bait!"
No no, I was only picking on SabanFan and it was tongue in cheek. Thanks. Dang newbs. :hihi: And I actually HATE using smilies but that's why I probably overuse them to try to keep it in context.
I'm wondering if it's got something to do with our relatively undersized linemen and that zone blocking scheme Stud likes to use with them. On traditional RB screens linemen have to release upfield and have to hold single blocks so that RB has gaps to run through. If they can't knock a LB or DE out of the way in one-on-one blocking, then that screen is going to get eaten up quick.
