I thought they used it to support churches worldwide. Is the pope just swimming in it like Scrooge McDuck?

 

In business, you can actually save money by using bankruptcy laws. If structured right of course.

 

Noone outside the Vatican knows how much treasure is there

 

If you can't count it you have more than enough. In addition to whatever cash they have the church also owns countless works of art and artifacts that are priceless. I wonder if they invest their money in stocks and real estate and other things any billionaire would invest in. I want to see the pope as a guest shark on Shark Tank.

 

They also own some corporations. A competitor in my field is owned by the vatican. The way they got it was when the original owner died he willed it to the church. They now own the company.

 

Gayle Benson is big time religious and no kids. I could see the Vatican ending up owning the Saints. I wonder if they could hire any people capable of running the team and staying competitive.
