$20M guaranteed. I can remember when there was talk about whether he was going to be a bust. Glad to see a former Tiger succeed. I'll always remember the game-ending play vs. Jawja in 2003: http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2008/12/new_york_giants_webster_cashes.html
That's great for him! I was hoping he would become a free agent and sign with the Saints but Benson wouldn't spend that kind of money. I'm sure the Saints would spend the money to find another WR, TE, or Punt Returner before actually looking for secondary help. We have Jason David so we really don't need any secondary help. :dis:
I like the play at 4:56 a little better
I mentioned this earlier, but why hasn't Marcus Spears been productive? I'm glad Webster has found his groove, though.
I addressed this in the Ware thread, but he's finally coming into his own more this year. His rookie year ('05), he was injured in training camp and in Parcells' world, that somehow put him in the doghouse. He's had a heck of time climbing out. He's rather popular in the media in Dallas (though they've ragged on him, too), but this year, he's slimmed down and appears to be more productive. On "Hard Knocks," it was suggested that he's motivated because he knows this could very well be his last year in Dallas if he doesn't earn his keep.
Sorry. I must have missed it. Well, maybe he can go somewhere he won't be buried in the depth chart... like the Saints. ... if he really is improving.
I really don't think Spears has been buried in the depth chart. He plays a lot; he just hasn't consistantly made big plays, like his fellow '05 first-rounder, Demarcus Ware. I have seen him make more plays this year, however, and I hope the Cowboys keep him.
Damn I forgot the Tigers could play D like that. Before his break out games last year The time I saw him in the game he played really good. I couldn't undersatnd why he didn't play more.
