Well my position remains the same. Moo is proving to be better than we thought. Don't care what you think of the aggies but they recruited on a much higher level for the last 3 years especially on defense. They are at an elite level recruiting wise. Their DC is who I wish could have gotten last year but probably too expensive. That guy is great. With that said Moo put 26 on that D and put 25 on our D. Auburn and LSU is just that a wild last minute win or loss game ever year. They won we should have won. All I care about is the future games. Moo and Auburn is history. Kentucky is the next game and I expect us to win. Those were facts posted at Dandy Don not my opinion. We ARE a better team than last year. We lose to Kentucky you will find me circling like a buzzard over O.
Exactly. We won't see another Nix this year. We have the defense to play with everyone although Ole Miss and will be a challenge, Bama is on another level right now. To me Kentucky should have no chance to beat us as long as our offense can score 20 points or better.
Kiki, your initial post puts things in perspective. We are improving. But starting from a value of -10 and improving to -5 is not credit worthy. It’s not worth applauding that we improved from offensively bad to just underperforming. We have top 5 talent and the coaching staff is not extracting top 5 performance. A rebuild would be fine if the cupboard had been bare, but it is far from it.
If losing by less than the previous year is good enough for you, that's ok. You do you. I'll do me. At the level in which we recruit, we are emphatically underperforming. While I agree crazy things happen in the LSU/Auburn rivalry, Saturday nights loss will not go down as a crazy or historical event (unless Ed is fired today). It was one of, if not the worst coaching performances I can ever recall and a much more talented roster was basically sabotaged by its own coaching staff. Auburn themselves are still confused how they won that game. To me, its the epitome of who LSU is under the leadership of Ed Orgeron.
Hey I think we are not at LSU standards yet. However I can't say with a straight face we are not improving because we are. To expect us to be at Bama's level right now is foolish. I believe we are at everyone else's level even maybe with the exception of Georgia only because they have a better O Line than us.
Well I disagree. No we couldn't corral Nix but our tackling in general has improved. No way you convince me it hasn't. Kentucky Kentucky
In 2019 we were. Now we are wondering if we can beat Kentucky. We don’t need to sugar coat this. It’s bad.
