Certainly, I'm very impressed with this hire. Great black Asst Coach who has undeniably delivered results. Great schools to be associated with and seems to have recruited and developed talent very well--and, commensurate with that LSU is certainly willing to pay for it. But, I have to ask. When you look at his resume, you see very short stints at places and things that make you wonder. He's head coach of Louisville and then goes to be head coach at Alabama A&M? Then he takes a step back into roles as position coaches, in one year stints at Wisconsin and Miss St? He's jumped around a bunch. I'm just wondering what the story behind the story is. You can chalk up his move from USC to LSU pretty easily (chance to win NCs, and get a significant raise), but I'm a little concerned about some of the other past moves. Anyone who can shed light on this?

And the impressive thing is that he's coached up DBs that weren't highly thought of coming out of high school into formidable players. LSU is bringing in big time, blue-chip recruits every year. =O My rep is 666
The impressive thing about their passing stats is they play in the east, so they go against UF, Ga, and pass happy Kentucky every year and still had the No.1 secondary for 2 years straight. With all the 5 stars we have in the secondary, I'm hoping for big improvements from this group. Great hire hat.
Not as impressive as Chavis, but a very good hire none the less. Will be a strong compliment to our defensive style. Should be a big improvement to an otherwise glaring weakness we have had recently.
Even Bama fans are paying homage to recent LSU moves: Title: LSU putting together a coaching machine (http://forums.tidesports.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3631098265/m/9701086428/r/9811086428#9811086428)
