Was anyone else in the R5 area? I was embarrassed to be associated with some of the people in that section. Horrible. Bring the right fielder's sister and mother into the discussion. Not to mention all the profanity. Heckling is ok to a point. If the player can't look at you and laugh, it's too far. It started out OK: "Hey, 2! Why'd you block me on facebook?" But eventually it just became "F*** you 2! F*** you! You suck! You're a homo! I F***ed your sister last night!" :dis:
Were there parents with children sitting over there tonight? It always seemed like we were the only one's with kids when we sit over there. If there were, and they didn't put a stop to it, then shame on them. I've never personally had any problems over there when my kids were present....Never. I sure wouldn't have put up with any crap with my kids present.
they are always wild. I am sure a little more so today with the team being "cheated" in the eyes of the average lame-brain. but either way, I didn't think it was any more or less worse than normal. there were police everywhere on the ground. if it were THAT bad, someone would have been escorted out.
i wasn't sitting totally in right field, so I probably couldnt hear them all as well as you. so I trust your judgment. I was in the next section over down the 1st-base line. So I just heard noise... I couldn't make out individuals, but if you are indeed right, then it's a shame. But ever batch of apples contains 10-15 rotten ones.
I heard someone behind me mumble Pi Kappas or Phi Kappas.... I'm not Greek, so I don't know what that means in terms of character.
I'm not Greek... (and oddly enough, none of them REALLY are either... funny how a super-secret club make people think their DNA is different), but yeah. I know "THAT" crowd.
i had to sit in R5 today for the first time this year. the most unintelligent, rude, obnoxious, and plain annoying fans in the world. terrible. there's a difference between heckling and talking crap and the don't know where to stop. there pathetic. im standing by left field tomorrow just so i don't hit someone.
For those that think the behavior we are describing is shocking: Wait until you get a chance to visit the LSU student section for Tiger Football games. You people will probably have a heart attack... but I love the LSU student section at football games, I love the hate, I love how they bring it, I love their cruelty... to me it mirrors the spirit of the LSU football team itself. But yes, I can see how some of the spectators to an LSU baseball game expect it to be more like an LSU golf event than an LSU football game, and yeah, there are no little children with their families in the Student Section, and the Student Section is located as far as possible from opponent fans in Tiger Stadium... but dammit, I love the Student Section, in fact, every Tiger football game I've been to, no matter my age, no matter our record, no matter how big the game was... every game sucks compared to those games when I'm in the Student Section (and it's been a good while since i sat in the student section, but by a miracle last year, i was able to do so, one of the best recent moments of my life!!!). But yeah, as for the golf-fan thing, it is horrible how mean and cruel LSU fans can be. Shame on them. P.S. Tigers sports gets very emotional and irrational to some, not a bad thing... also this is the last series at the Box, quite an emotional event to some.
