Interesting today that all of the media says that the top 3 in the BCS/Polls control their own destiny. Well guess what folks? So do our Tigers!! Win the next two and get some confidence(our O needs it). Then play a complete game and beat Bama. Then two emotional games with Ole Miss and Arky. SEC championship game next. So who is really in control of their own destiny!!!! We are. I believe. And I am feeling it. Can't tell you why, and don't go to Vegas and bet your savings on it, but my gut is telling me. Still can't tell you why I feel it. Just one of them things. :geaux: and go play for another one of these. :crystal:
Not quite. If Iowa and Texas win out and both go undefeated, we're on outside looking in. Probably a couple more scenarios too.
I think the SEC champ with one loss would get there. And Iowa would be great. Would like to see them have a chance too. I like it better when teams just win without the pre-season media hype get there (I know it helps us some)....
Grad is indeed correct. An undefeated Iowa most certainly goes to the NC if they run the table. And of course Texas would. I had said we had our destiny in our hands as well, and I was wrong. But we don't need much help. I do see us surpassing an undefeated UConn or Boise State.
I don't see Iowa going undefeated, they have some tough games ahead of them and barely beat Arkansas State.
I cant see a one loss SEC team being out of the NC. Iowa has no title game, that always hurts Big 11 in the end. Just dont see Iowa making past OSU. Been wrong about Iowa before though. When you think about it, when we play Bama they will probably be top 3, win that one then play Fla who will probably be top 3, win two games against top 3 teams a one loss sec champ is in.
Jerry Palm of CollegeBCS.com was interviewed on a local sports radio show in Mobile this morning. He said that the winner of the SECCG will be in the BCS championship game, even if they are a 1-loss team and someone like Cincinnati or Boise State is undefeated. He acknowledged that LSU is still legitimately in the race if the offense starts firing. Here's to hoping, not expecting. What a story it would be. :geaux:
Never count them out. Think about how the last few weeks have transpired the least few years. All we can do is win, one game at a time. And no matter what happens, they will end the year as one of the best teams in CFB.
I see Iowa making it past tOSU if tOSU does not get their O working and their QB showing up. I can see tOSU losing 3 more games, Iowa, Penn St. and to that team from up north. tOSU can end up 7-5…….hmmmmm……brings back memories from last year in that LSU ended up 7-5, RS. ldskule:
