"Likewise, these universities can choose to relinquish public research and education dollars and these hospitals can decline medicare and other federal insurance plans that don't have standards that they must meet."

What does declining a medicare or other federal patient have to do with anything?

Churches routinely travel outside of their religious realm to spread their word, provide support, and give aid in many forms.

Likewise, why would a church business, WHICH PAYS TAXES, not be able to use those tax dollars for public research and education dollars?

    Since when are strings attached?

All the church wants, is to choose a health care package for its voluntary employes that aligns with its religious beliefs..

In fact, the enlargement is not of which the refuse to offer, but what in which they PROVIDE employees.

Just like Planed Parenthood does not use tax dollars for Abortion, the church does not use federal money to fund health-care packages...

a church is a place where people go to worship. It is not a hospital or doctor's office. If I want to receive medical help at a church then I would simply ask God. Problem solved.

But you have seen federal grants withheld until compliance with certain regulations is met. And yes, it applies to all employers, not just those owned by churches.

I knew you wouldn't try to debate it. I don't blame you.

    Then try me.

I hear Hitler loved cats, too. :rolleye33:

Strings are attached to all federal dollars. Those receiving them must conform to certain standards.

    Irrelevant to the issue.

They can, as long as they follow the federal regulations that come with it.

All the church wants is to impose its religious beliefs on the personal medical choices of its employees.

you make my point everytime. You can't go to a church for a job, unless you are a priest or nun. A church is a place of worship. I can only explain it to you I can't make you understand it.

There are no medical jobs at a church.

You missed the point. This mandate applies to all employers. Not only those receiving federal funds. So even if the church hospitals cut off medicare and medicaid and universities stopped accepting federal grants, they would still have to comply.

    I'll start the thread.

    Start it.

LSUsuperfan, your sig says Abortion is murder. Can I ask if you believe in the death penalty? Off the topic but I want to know how you feel about this?

    No it's not.

The church is simply NOT offering contraception coverage. I haven't seen any documentation FORCING people into not being able to seek other means of coverage.
