I realize you are a big fan of this kid or perhaps a relative but what is the implication here? Miles is an idiot? Arrogant? Obtuse? What is it? A lot of people acknowledge confusion over why one kid gets a schollie and one does not year to year, but I don't see Miles picking players with lesser abilities. What exactly is the point here?
You're right. I've spent far too much time here. Isl even had me almost convinced that TJ Bryant wasn't coming to USC. I'll say it again, USC already has a verbal from RB Patrick Hall and we are in hot pursuit of Cierre Wood. Several other names have come up but not Montrell's. Just because a service is reporting an offer, doesn't make it the truth. Until I hear directly from USC or the recruiting editor I know that a player has an offer then I take it with a grain of salt.
If he does go to USC he ain't gonna be playing RB there either. If LSU projects him at LB then lets wait and see his senior year playing LB, I don't see whats with all the urgency, we are a week into March! There is no need to offer him a scholarship yet, especially this year when we just won the NC and are short on scholies
He claimed the same thing about LSU. It's apparent that he doesn't know whether he has an offer or not.
I was thinking the same thing... the kid "thinks" he has offers to a lot of big time schools... whether he does or not is the question, although I could see him having an offer to Mississippi State at this juncture.
Or, maybe, just maybe he was led on to BELIEVE he had an offer. No way, right? Never, impossible. He never once said he had an offer from LSU. He has said on the other hand that he has an offer from said schools listed on scout and also Tennessee which isn't listed on scout but on rivals. The whole deal was a botched situation on both parts because there wasn't any clarity. That we know is for sure. But to insist he said he had an offer from LSU when he didn't is absurd and wrong. He never once said he had an offer from LSU. No kid commits to a school if they don't believe that there is an offer there. For all we know LSU may have offered and then pulled the scholly. We don't know, but I have a hard time believing this kid would commit to a school when he didn't have an offer. Just doesn't happen. Makes no logical sense at all.
False. In this article he states he has an offer from LSU. http://lsu.rivals.com/content.asp?SID=886&CID=736563 "Basically my coach keeps my mail," Conner said. "And I understand why he's doing it. He has given me the offers from Ole Miss, Alabama and LSU. Basically, I like all three of those schools."
Hilarious LSU may lose a kid to USC and it's all good. No problem there we know what we are doing. USC sucks and knows nothing about talent. Conner sucks too, real bad, I mean he is horrible. He is small and he can't run. He has no strength and he sucks to high heaven. I can't believe I ever mentioned his name. I'm sure glad he has the oppurtunity to go shine and be in the limelight at USC.
