Washington, D.C. - Congressman Ron Paul has continued to run his Congressional office in a frugal manner, and was able to return more than $100,000 from his allotted office budget to the Treasury this year, an increase over the $90,000 returned last year.

“Since my first year in Congress representing the 14th district I have managed my office in a frugal manner, instructing staff to provide the greatest possible service to the people of the 14th district at the least possible cost to taxpayers,” said Paul.

Nice to see someone in Congress understands where the money comes from and knows how to use it in the most efficient manner. Imagine a world where they all did....no I can't.

Ok, so he's an honorable guy, I respect him for that and always have. I just don't think he would be a good president.

A Veteran, a doctor, a conservative, a pro life, a family man, a person of integrity and honesty, and someone that actually reads and understands history, the constitution, and monetary policy wouldn't be a good pick for president?

I sure would like to see your list of qualities of a president..

The main thing I have a problem with is his vision on foreign policy and how to use our military. We can't afford to not keep some of our military forward deployed as a preventative measure.

Prevention. I believe our presence abroad keeps some of those bigger countries (Russia, China, Iran) from further trying to take over their respective regions. It's in our best interest to keep them in place. Many of those countries WANT us there.

I also think those numbers could be skewed a bit. I mean, you could call a Marine detachment at a U.S. Embassy (since they provide Embassy security around the world) a "presence".
