    It could just be an internet rumor at this point. I haven't seen it on any so-called "reputable source."

    What's keeping them form it now is that with the crime rate there is no shortage of new inmates. Let the crime rate drop drastically and you could spend life in prison for jaywalking.

    I know that here if you have a friend or loved one in the Parish prison you can put some money on their prison commissary account online or through a telephone voice prompt with a credit card. Whoever is doing this is making a processing fee for every transaction. I know a guy who just a couple of weeks ago put $40 in his old girlfriends account (violated her probation by testing dirty) It cost him an extra $5 for the fee.

    I always like Bill Cosby. I thought he was probably a pretty good dude in real life. In the 80's when Coca-Cola announced that they were changing the formula for the drink Cosby was the spokesman for them. He did a bunch of commercials where he said "New Coke is better than Old Coke." I knew he was lying his ass off. I eventually forgave him for that and starting liking him again. Look how that turned out.

    Prisons have what? 60-65 percent non violent drug offenders in the them?
