Anything in this forum is a matter of opinion, issues also dictate that even Obama could be good on one issue or bad on another. Socialists and communists probably think Obama is better. I'll give you that but I doubt many people in this country think Obama is better than anyone else including republicans when it comes to the economy and the national debt.
He sure as hell is better than W. Even though that really isn't saying much. This country had a surplus of $236 billion dollars when W took office and a projected 10 year surplus of 5.6 trillion dollars. Obama was handed a 1.3 billion dollar deficit.
I'm not taking up for Bush here either because I disagreed which his spending as well. Hmmm, 1.3 billion dollar deficit doesn't seem that bad to me when you consider Obama has turned it into a 1.75 trillion dollar deficit. The White House projections have put the next 8 years under Obama as all having a greater deficit load than any of Bush's deficit years of 2002-2008. Bush did an awful job controlling federal deficit but to imply that Obama has done even slightly better is crazy. They've both blown it and it shows the fundamental problem in our political system these days. It's controlled by others and no one has any accountability.

yeah but isn't that a result of there being a deficit? Do you think Obama would have spent that much money if there wasn't a financial crisis?
the crisis is the exact reason NOT to spend, and to let the taxpayers keep their money. it was the bush spending that helped get us into trouble. more spending means a worse situation, which is why obama is a terrible person who is hellbent on ruining our nation.
