Congrats Visigoth State

Your guys showed a lot of determination. Way to intimidate your opponents when it mattered most.


I decided to watch some of the game on 360. Fast Forwarded a bit. First thign I see is that Visigoth State commercial.

I can't escape it!@@!#@!@!@

 

and the reason we could have killed most of those in the chat room. the drinking game was take a drink every time they showed that commercial.

 

I'm sick of that commercial ! Can't even remember what they are hawking.

 

Around the 8th inning last night I didn't start counting down the outs....I started counting down how many more times I would have to endure those commercials.

For the record they were hawking Capital One.

 

The VW commercial with oil on the guy's face got old too! :angryfire

 

The commercial that bothered me was the Joe's Crab Shack commercial... They say "East Coast!" and show a hot chick... they say "West Coast!" and show a hot chick, then they say "Gulf Coast!" and show a redneck with a mullet...

 

I don't recall either of these. All I remember is the Capital One Visigoth commercial.

 

Some companies really need to spend less money on buying air time and more money on making several commercials. I actually thought the Visigoth thing was funny the first few times. The last 193 times it was painful. If they would have spent a little extra money and maybe filmed a 4-5 commercial series where Visigoth played several different teams or something it would have been much more bearable.

 

Yeah like the old Bud Bowl commercials. Those were great.

 

I wish there were more people like me who boycotted companies that show their commercials with such obscene frequency. Then maybe sporting events wouldn't be so daggone annoying. But unfortunately, people respond to repetitive advertising. So the problem will never go away.
