In the final analysis, I watched and enjoyed the game and pulled for the Cajuns. It was nice to see them get some national pub and to have pride in their team. This was their 1st Bowl in 41 years and their 1st Bowl win in 67 years. LSU is playing for their 3rd NC in 8 years. Sensible UL fans realize we are on different levels and that they can root for and enjoy both.

It's funny you should mention Tech, because I've had more issues with them hating on LSU just because we're the state school. Somehow every person that goes to Tech is ridiculously prideful about their school and I respect that but a lot of them blindly hate on LSU.

For you yung ens, a looong time agoo, back befor fancy cell fones, dvd's and personal compooters, dere used to be this other team in Louisiana that tried real bad to play dat football. Dey stole some real good players from LSU. Dat is one too lame team now. We dont need no stinking skools comin in here tryin to take dem good enought playas from our Tigas.

Do not be fooled. If they are not for us, they are against us. They want to be the second greatest football program in LA and compete with us for players and money. That is a fact.

    GEAUX TIGERS!

PS. In 1998 Tulane went undefeated and finished 7 in the AP. There were times when LSU used to really have trouble recruiting New Orleans. I honestly believe that it is not in the best interest of LSU to have any other state school have a winning program.

It is all about them TIGERS!

It's just like everywhere else in the country with in state schools, after a while the little brother starts to dislike the big brother for always being good and beating up on them. Coach Hudspeth is REALLY REALLY good for that program, he's got them believing they can win and actually winning with pride and effort rather than talent.

    1. I am a die hard LSU guy since 1991 when I started school there....but
I do support ULL Ragin Cajins.....notice i'm not delusional and put UL,
    1. because my cousin plays for them...# 59 MLB(starter) Jake Molbert, 2. because my niece(godchild) goes there, because it is 20 miles from home.

LOL....first bowl game ever at the FBS level. Their fans have been dieing to go to a bowl game and have been bowl eligable a few times and past over. Lafayette is a decent sized community that can really support a team like this because they are a sports town and their is some oilfield money their. With a good coach like Hudspeth ULL should start to seperaate themselves from all other state schools not named LSU and become the second school in LA.
