in the bowl game. To think they were 3-9 last year and picked to be last in college football (120th) at the beginning of the year.

If they win tonight they will have the most wins in their history.

    Extremely Entertaining Game

I noticed that bowl game on and saw that it was competitive. It turned out being extremely entertaining. I ended up really enjoying the game. Who would have thought? Even though the crowd in the Super Bowl was rather light, they really amped it up. At least on TV that's how it seemed. I'm sure ESPN probably increased the crowd noise a bit. Still, the crowd had energy. The officiating was some of the worst that I've ever seen. The two pass interferences in the end zone committed by San Diego State that went uncalled were crazy. How could the officiating miss that? I wonder which conference the officiating crew were from. Does anybody know? Anyways, I tried to watch the trophy presentation online, but the event had ended and it would not allow me to go back. Hopefully they'll post a replay of the game and the trophy presentation. The bowl win and the Rajun Cajuns' season record became even more amazing when they commentators stated that the team was pegged to finish 120th, or last, in the FBS.

    CONGRATULATIONS RAJUN CAJUNS!

Actually, it was a record crowd for the New Orleans Bowl. Unfortunately, SDSU had a poor showing and that was the side that was on TV. The UL-assigned side was under the cameras.

    It was wasn't it?

They came out like gang busters but halfway thru the 2nd Q and most of the 2nd half they looked the part of a team that hadn't been been to a bowl game in 40 years and didn't know how to put away an opponent.

(the going for it on 4th and goal when it was 13-3....the back-to-back passes in the endzone while nursing a 2-pt lead with 2min left....)

But, I give them credit: They never stopped believing that they COULD do it.

Their WR's looked amazing tonight. I was very, VERY impressed with that Lawson kid. He's one (their TE was another) that I must say, are good enough to play on any BCS team....ours included (can't believe I actually said "I'd take a Ragin Cajun player") Not one, but 2 1-handed grabs for HUGE yardage?!?!

I'm not one that likes one-dimensional offenses (having to throw the ball 40 times as the ONLY method to move the ball isn't something I'd like to see my team do week in/week out), but it worked well for them tonight. Imagine how effective Gautier would have been had he not ALWAYS have to pick the snap off the carpet EVERY time???

The part that amazed me the most about those ridiculous 1 handed catches is that they were despite flags for Interference. (Or at least one was?) Very happy for them. Send SDSU to the Big East with a loss.
