All-Pro team becoming a joke. No 2nd team QB...hello??? Vick? Rogers? Matt Ryan??? come on. Darren Sharper made the second team as a safety and only played 9 games. Oddly, Malcolm Jenkins also made the second team and they both play free safety.

No disrespect to Reggie Wayne, but Bowe should've had his first team spot.

I think alot of it is strictly on name. Troy Polamalu is a good player, but I'm sorry he isn't the best defensive player in the league like a bunch of people in the media say.

Logan Mankins made 1st team and he missed 6 games also.

I can see Mankins. It was no coincidence that they got better when he came back. Did the Saints D get soo much better when Sharper came back?

And on Polamalu...while you can debate whether he's the best defensive player (I think he is) in the league, he made some of the biggest defensive plays of the season and is worthy of defensive MVP honors if he gets them. The perfectly timed leap over the line of scrimmage QB sack forced fumble and recovery was one of the best defensive plays ever. And he did it again to stuff a RB for a loss on a short yardage play. When he's not on the field, that whole defense changes. They're much more vulnerable. Ask Baltimore who's the best defensive player in the league. I bet they won't say Ray Lewis or Ed Reed. They're going to say Polamalu. So if he isn't, who is?

    I think he is.

As for Bowe over Wayne, Wayne had 250 more yards and 30 more catches.

I don't see it at all. He is good at the line of scrimmage, and against the run. But he has lost a step in coverage, and this year has looked like Karnell Hatcher totally whiffing on tackles.

Dwayne Bowe led the league in touchdowns for receivers and he didn't have Peyton Manning throwing him the football.

On one hand, I can see that Bowe was invisible his last game against the Ravens where he did nothing. On the other hand, when he was hot, he was unstoppable.

Either way, the AP is useless. They don't serve a purpose anymore when I can watch any game on TV or the internet.
