baseball and softball have the best coaches but mainieri has faltered on the big stage of late. womens basketball is the absolute worst. caldwell is clueless but still pretty hot so she gets an extended stay. football and mens basketball are similar currently. both have talent but dont have the coaching to get there. one cant coach offense, one cant coach defense. hiring a new AD does nothing when the idiots pulling the string (f.king and the gang of 8) block any progression. Though Les has full reign now since he killed the coup d'etat and is the sitting don. but he has no outs at this juncture. he may have full control but the pressure and expectations are enormous. the revolution will be successful next time.

I can agree with one thing, my bitching has lost most of its steam. My expectations vs Arkansas were low and I wasn't nearly as disappointed. I can also agree with those of a more sunny disposition that it isn't all bad.
No i see the parallels between him and Les, but Maneiri has also won the SEC more times than not. i just can't compare it to football because all you have to do is show up and you basically make a bowl game these days. It's a lot harder to make it to the post season in baseball. Can you imagine Stoney Brook or CSF ever being a great football school? Do they even have football? Hell I don't know, but you can get beat easily in baseball by a team that is worse than you are. It shouldn't happen in football.
