LSU won't be winning 10 games this year, or 2017, or 2018, or 2019... or for as long as Miles and his inability to develop a forward passer, or preparation issues are still here.
You didn't forget, like the rest of us you thought this just might be the year and couldn't bear to bet against them.
We have close games with Auburn , Florida , Arky , Southern Miss , Mizzou , and State .Losing at least 3 . Add those up to the blowout losses to Bama , Ole Miss , and A&M and LSU finises the year 5-7 wont make a bowl game , Hopefully Alleva get's the picture and fires Miles to bring in a younger coach . I Do agree Herman isn't leaving the state of Texas but I wouldn't mind having Briles or even Lincon Riley from Oklahoma .
I don't think this is in stone anywhere. Unless Houston gets into the big 12 or if he goes to Baylor. I don't think the UT or eatme jobs will be open. Money talks
The Texas team on display Saturday has star quality. If they just play with that enthusiasm through the big 12 schedule, fans will be downright giddy. To watch the Longhorns execute an offense is almost enough in itself.
I hate to say it Shane but I don't think LSU opens up either. They will test the waters but will not pony up the money and keep what we have. Prob come out with some bull about les finishing his contract while we search for the best fit, blah, blah, blah. I picked a bad year to quit drinking.
I agree, I'm only saying that I don't buy into the statement that TH is holding out for either the atm or longhorns job. If the right opportunity comes along and it's not in Texas he will take it. I do think he would have to talk himself out of taking the LSU job if it were offered but like you, I dont think we ever get that far. By the time we finally get rid of our cancer Tom will have a new job and we will have lost our chance to get him.
