dhead knows this is a pet peeve of mine which is why he started this thread. you cannot pull for Florida ever again in anything. they already have NC's in everything but transvestite water polo the last couple of years and dominate in recruiting with urban myth. If Tebow stays 4 years and wins 3 heismans I will not be waving my UF pom poms in their bowl game. I will grant everyone permission to pull against bama with an honest heart as well. Its been clinically proven healthy to hate UF and Bama. the rest you dont have to really get upset when they win but you can be glad if they lose.
SEC almost all the time. There have been times I haven't been too excited about UT win - if you think Florida Nation can be over the top, you should try Rocky Top.
Im a HUGE college football fan, but there is nothing like SEC football. I always pull for the SEC. Sure they are hated rivals when they play LSU but any other time I pull for them in a die hard manner. Plus it makes LSU look better. Of course there is always an exception to the rule, I wish Bama and now R-Kansas would lose every game they play.
It's sort of a game-time decision for me. Usually, I'll pull for the SEC team. But sometimes, I just can't. Don't really know why I've never liked Tennessee, maybe it's that awful orange and 10,000 verses of rocky top and it won't bother me or surprise me for that matter if they lose by 20. Don't remember Saban's last win this fall but I hope that was his last win. Ever.
Im gonna go with NoLimit on this....i really dont give a damn. as long as LSU wins, Im good to go! In fact, watching UF, UGA and Bammer lose would just make me the happiest person.
LSU wins all is well. It would make me laugh if bama losses. I can't stand those arrogant fans. They just can't see past the red.:milesmic:
I think the orange and white is much better than Florida's orange and blue. As for the Rocky Top thing -- put yourself in the shoes of a Tennessee fan and imagine how humiliating Rocky Top is to Tennessee. I feel sorry for Tennessee players and fans having to listen to that all year long. You'd think they'd do something about it. I mean a lot of people, even Tennessee's own, think Fulmer should be fired. After all, Tennessee leds the SEC (and is 4th in the nation after Miami, Ohio State, and Florida State) with players that were listed on the 2007 NFL opening day active rosters (Tenn had 36, Georgia had 35, LSU had 33, Auburn had 32, Florida had 31). But I think Tennessee should just get rid of Rocky Top and get a song that doesn't irritate the players and the fans. I think Rocky Top is the reason Tennessee isn't dominating the SEC, not Phil Fulmer.
I hope that's not true. Reading Big Ten forums, they already think SEC people are a bunch of dumb rednecks. That SecSports stat is cited elsewhere on the internet, and it is an easy stat to find. If SecSports got it wrong, it'll be just another reason Big Ten people think SEC people are moron hicks. If it really is wrong, someone should write SecSports a letter so that correct it.
