I have a bad feeling we will not get Chad Jones,Toliver,or McKnight.Any positive feedback would help.
I don't care what USC fans think. They thought Joe gave a silent commit to them when he visited. The point is, we may or may not get these guys. The main thing I go by is the opinion of Sonny at Tigerrag. He thinks LSU will get these guys, and that is good enough for me. In the end, it is all just speculation and there's nothing we can do about it except wait & see what happens on signing day.
FWIW, Mike Farrell on Rivals Radio said today that McKnight's coach called Saban, and he wants to maybe visit Bama. (Did Nick break the rules and contact McKnight during the dead period??) Sounds like we're in good shape with Toliver & Chad Jones though..
A few months ago I said our best chance was with Chad Jones. Tolliver was a maybe and McKnight was slim to none. Now I feel LSU has a really good shot at pulling all three in.
Saban said today that he would not contact any players who have committed to LSU. But then he has been known to lie.
LOL, yeah, right after he made that statement he was probably on the phone with Phelon Jones and others. Its not like the word of Saban means a thing.
I know it was a joke, but could you imagine the image Fisher would have if he did something like that?! Being paid by LSU, yet recruiting for 'bama?! If there EVER was a way to totally ruin your coaching career and assure yourself of NEVER getting a head coaching job, that would be the thing to do.
You're right and looking at it like that, I really shouldn't have joked about it. Fisher has been good to us and sometimes the most innocent suggestion is how crap gets started. In light of that let me be clear that I have neither any information nor suspicions to say that and only meant it as a joke.......in fact more along the lines of Saban's aggressiveness in succedding- which is actually something I like about the man......he's a bad enemy but a good man to have in your corner for sure- just dissappointed in how he handled the situation. Anyone can make a mistake once, but to do it a second time??
