Underclassmen QB Ratings 2010 - Jefferson: 114.65, Lee: 119.92 2012 - Mett: 128.34 2014 - Jennings: 118.33, Harris: 175.04 2015 - Harris: 130.49 2016 - Etling: 135.54, Harris: 95.9 2018 - Burrow: 133.21 I'd say the bar for Brennan's junior season is set at 130+ In 2019 his rating was 137.38, so he's already there. Senior QB Ratings: 2011 - Lee: 152.04, Jefferson: 138.71 2013 - Mett: 171.45 2017 - Etling: 152.98 2019 - Burrow: 201.96 In 2021 he'll need to get that rating to at least 152+ I'm confident he'll be a good LSU QB.
Sometimes it’s a perfect match of the two. I think 2019 was for Burrow and LSU. I think Joe showed better than his stats in 2018. Remember there were many dropped passes and the line was a patchwork. If you look at the TAMU and bowl games he showed to be made much better than in the beginning. He was good. 2019 put the maturation of the receivers and line together with the scheme to make it what it was. I think Joe can be a great QB but without a team around him it may never show. I hope Cincinnati understands what they have and don’t misuse him.
Myles Brennan 42 of 70 passing (60%) ,with 2 TDs & 3 INTs. Not much to go on so far. Myles & Tua were in the same recruiting class, 2017.
I read that Ensminger told Brennen that he didn't have to be as good as Joe, he just needed to be as good as Myles Brennen can be and that will be good enough.
