You would never get a commit from that high school or area ever again. Not to mention the bad pr outweighs the benefits of one player a billion to one.
LSU does not rescind scholarship offers from commits when they are Louisiana guys. Our ties to the high school coaches are too important to risk that.
But... on the other hand, it seals the deal with that area to have a kid publicly commit to you only to have that shot down by the coaches as "he didn't have an offer"?
The he didnt have an offer is always on the player. The coach never did offer him, so it doesnt matter.
Maybe the players in question were just not smart enough to realize they didn't have an offer I think the deal with Connor gets straightened out rather quickly-in like the next few days. They want this cat, but they don't know whether it is at running back, safety, or linebacker. But, yes, they do want him. You could tell that they must have really wanted him by the way he was quoted in the article written earlier.
I don't know about not being smart enough, but not informed enough about the recruiting process. Their high school coaches should be doing a better of explaining this to them.
It's like courting a woman and you say you want to marry her one day and you really mean it at the time; however, if you find another one who's hotter and really sweeps you off your feet, you drop that one and move on to greener pastures. You playas here can take it another step. You remember those college days when you strung out 2 or 3, you guys would make good recruiters. :hihi: To those who saw those guys running 2 or 3 babes and thought, dam, them guys are lucky, you're wrong. It gets VERY TIRING have to hide and shuffle things.
