Please go ahead and ink this prediction down. I am sure there a bunch in Tiger Nation that will gladly help support such a bold claim. We are big believers in the mojo that goes along with pre event claims. Also, make sure that Saban and your AD make that call to Birmingham, you're gonna need at least one Gump official per game, maybe two, to help you guys out this year.
Nick Saban the year after winning the SEC championship. 2002 - 8-5 overall and 5-3 in conference. 2004 - 9-3 overall and 6-2 in conference. 2010 - ???????????
:tigereye: And don't forget San Jose State in your opener.... those b'tards felt compelled to take 9 months to prepare...
That's just it. You had a ridiculous number of breaks last year that enabled you to get to the NCG, then you had the break of all breaks that enabled you to win the game (Let's face it; UT was fixing to house that ass when Colt went down.). Thing is, when you get those kinds of breaks over and again, they all tend to go against you the following year (or two). Things always find a way to even out in the long run. We caught a sh!t-ton of breaks in 2007, and then couldn't get a damn thing to go our way in 2008. So I certainly wouldn't count on good fortune for 2010. It's time to pay the piper.
My issue at this point, is that it doesn't look like we're getting much relief from the "Home Office" on these bye weeks. I felt perhaps some teams out of a sense of good sportsmanship might do the right thing. Miss. St. sounded like they might be trying and I'm not sure if LSU ever got back with us. You do realize, if we go undefeated for a third consecutive season with our schedule, this unique accomplishment should have it's own asterisk. (though your comments suggest you may have felt that way last season).
who are the teams you have to play coming off bye weeks, because we had to play you and Florida coming off of bye weeks last season. And i don't want to hear anything about tough schedules.
