Really Sab? Was Saban's 'mea culpa' a ploy to get back to NFL? | CollegeFootballTalk.com Based on those 207 words in an expansive interview, Doug Farrar of Yahoo! Sports -- a helluva writer and even more gracious person -- decided that Saban was greasing the skids for a return to the top level of football.
So, are you sayin' that if Saban was offered a sideline seat in the Cowboy Palace he would put north Alabama in his rear view mirror? Is that what you're sayin', pardner? Wonder if Saban knows there ain't no income tax here in Texas. Bet he does.
Dude is such a con man he shoulda been a politician. Wait, he makes more jack than any Alabama politician. At least that we know of.
Don't see him leaving college. But that part about no contact, well he personally might not have, but he made damn sure that Sexton bama know they were interested.
Sounds like revisionist history to me. Seems there were all kinds of rumors, some on this board from Bama connected folks, that Saban was interested in their job, well before the season ended. I thought they were mis-guided at the time and said so, why would Saban give up the NFL which he had coveted, after just 2 seasons. Now we know he had lost the team and he lost his coaching staff also. Then I had to admit after it went down that the Bama connected fans talking on this board knew what they were talking about. If that's true, then Saban's current version is not true.
I would LOVE it if nicky would go to the 'boys. I can't stand the cowboys and that would just make me hate em even more.
