I don’t buy the loss of players and coaches because many top teams go through this and don’t look this bad.
Creativity in the run game, and passing game to help the running game. But I’m not kidding myself, Burrow’s play made the OL look better than they were and helped the running game out a ton.
How many of the schools you are referencing had as many players graduate and go to the NFL or leave early and go to the NFL as LSU did last year?
The coaches had time to adjust and prepare. No one expected a repeat but no one expected the disaster we have. That’s leadership from the top (Orgeron) and he has failed. I gave my reasons why I think it happened but whatever it’s on him to prevent and fix. He needs to start with himself IMO.
Agree; Whatever the excuse is, bottom line is this collapse is not indicative of an elite level program.
I think we all acknowledge that that is a limitation. But I think you even agree, that it shouldn’t be THIS bad. There’s too much talent out there, and even experience to see this slop. I’m not abandoning ship, but I can now clearly see that coaching is a significant problem on offensive line and the entire defense.
